"Heat Transfer Olympic"

Heat transfer is a major academic discipline deeply related to various important issues that human society is currently confronting with such as the global environmental changes, the depletion of energy resources, and the future of living creatures on our planet. It addresses difficult tasks with cutting-edge technologies such as highly efficient energy systems, massive information/communication equipment, nano and biomedical technology, to name a few.

The International Heat Transfer Conference (IHTC), which carries a nickname of "Heat Transfer Olympic," has traditionally been a world premier conference, where scientists and engineers in the heat and mass transfer research community get together and exchange latest information every four years. The previous conferences have greatly enhanced mutual exchanges of knowledge and experience, and have played a leading role in conducting pioneering and/or interdisciplinary research areas. The IHTCs in future should envision an ever more important role by fostering international cooperation and exchanges of ideas among colleagues in our community in order to solve various issues and enrich the human lives in the years ahead.

In the pursuit of these aims, we invite scientists, engineers and researchers in the field of heat and mass transfer from all over the world to the Fifteenth International Heat Transfer Conference (IHTC-15). Unlike other international conferences in heat and mass transfer, the IHTC-15 intends to provide participants with unique opportunities for exchange of new, but essential knowledge and also for intensive discussions throughout the conference period. We contemplate to make the IHTC-15 a role model for future IHTCs with a hope that the international societies of thermal science will be able to enjoy the high reputation and statuses in contributing to the benefit and welfare of human beings.
